Gun Control

Recently the Supreme Court ruled that Americans in all 50 states have a constitutional right to have a handgun in the home for self-defense. For 28 years, the city of Chicago had a ban on all handguns. The Supreme Court says that the Chicago handgun ban is unconstitutional. However, the Supreme Court says that cities still have the right to make "reasonable" laws about how guns are bought and sold.

Some people want the government to control the way people buy and sell guns. Others feel that people have the right to buy and own guns without restrictions.
